Choosing the route
Talaq, khula, mutual consent or court dissolution.
In Pakistan a Muslim marriage can end in several ways: talaq pronounced by the husband, khula sought by the wife, divorce by mutual consent, or dissolution by the family court on grounds that the law recognises. Each route has its own notice, court and documents.
The right choice depends on who wants to end the marriage and why, whether there are children, and what is owed or claimed, such as dower and maintenance. We explain the procedure, prepare the papers and, when a court case is needed, support you through the family court.
